Pietà Altarpiece: Detail, St. Andrew

This panel is in the bottom left of the altarpiece. As in most western images of Apostles, he is barefoot, but otherwise the artist has departed from the tradition of portraying St. Peter as balding and with a short, square beard. The impossibly long keys, his most common attribute, echo the shape of St. Andrew's cross in the upper right.
